Welcome TCCTA Campus Representatives!

We truly appreciate all you do and we’re glad to be working with you!

Use this page as an easy, convenient resource to help you recruit TCCTA members on your campus. The documents are easy to print and duplicate or simply link to an email for use whenever you need them. Enlist your colleagues to help you too—a team can be the most effective resource of all.

Remember, you’re the face and voice of the association on your campus! These resources have been proven effective by other TCCTA Campus Representatives, but feel free to pick and choose what works best for you.

Your direct TCCTA State Office contact will be Armani Cobbs, you can contact him at (512) 328-2044, Ext. 2.

ENROLL FOR AUTO-RENEW

Auto-renewing memberships will all be processed Wednesday, August 30th. Take a moment to encourage people to log in to the NEW TCCTA Community and Website to make sure their credit cards are current. Members can update credit/debit card details through August 29th to make sure there is no interruption to membership by clicking on the edit button next to the auto-renew status, updating credit card information, and saving/exiting the portal. We accept VISA and MasterCard only. All current auto-renewal members will receive an email, late August, reminding them of the upcoming charge.

REMEMBER TCCTA ONLY ACCEPTS VISA AND MASTERCARD

Did I mention TCCTA can only process VISA and MasterCard? If a member has tried to input their credit card and gets stalled, it’s probably because they are trying to renew with a Discover or American Express.  Ask them to try again with a Visa or MasterCard or call the State Office (512-328-2044).

TCCTA Professional Development

Staying connected to your colleagues and friends and sharing in affordable, high quality professional development for teachers and administrators are among TCCTA’s most important benefits.

  • TCCTA Faculty Fellows: Specifically designed for new faculty — in their first five years at their institution — who have demonstrated potential to be strong and engaged leaders.
  • Faculty Leaders Conference: October 5, 2024, Virtual Event This event focuses on issues related to the role of faculty in the college decision-making process and programs that relate immediately to your classroom.
  • 78th Annual Convention: February 20-22, 2025 Westin Galleria & Westin Oaks It’s our biggest event of the year with over 80 colleges and 150+ programs. A TCCTA Convention badge is your all-access pass to the best classroom pedagogy and technology, community college specific exhibitors, nationally renowned speakers, and a state-wide network of peers and education partners.
  • The Great Teaching Round Up: (coming May 2025) This program is created by the participants themselves. The format varies but often includes: teaching clinics, panels, organized discussions, “hands on” workshops, and presentations by participants and GTR staff.
  • Leading From the Middle: (coming July 2025) Designed specifically for mid-level administrators at Texas two-year colleges. Who among us doesn’t need more support in the areas of student success, SACSCOC accreditation, legal issues, and more?
