TCCTA has represented community colleges for 77 years, we strongly believe in educators at community and technical colleges across the state, and champion academic freedom, integrity, and collegiality.

TCCTA Membership Options (2025-2026)

Professional Membership – $55/year + $3.00 administrative service fee

Full-time Instructional faculty

Full-Time Administrative professionals

Retired professionals who desire to retain voting privileges


Professional Membership w/ Liability Insurance – $115/year+ $3.00 administrative service fee

Includes Professional Membership benefits plus liability insurance.


Associate Membership – $45/year+ $3.00 administrative service fee

Part-time/adjunct faculty

Retired professionals (no voting privileges)


Associate Membership w/ Liability Insurance – $105/year+ $3.00 administrative service fee

Includes Associate Membership benefits plus liability insurance.


Graduate Student Membership – $35/year+ $3.00 administrative service fee

For graduate students not currently employed by a Texas community college.


Classified Membership – $45/year+ $3.00 administrative service fee

Full- or part-time hourly employees of a community college


Unaffiliated Membership – $65/year+ $3.00 administrative service fee

For individuals not affiliated with a Texas community college who want to support TCCTA


Optional Liability Insurance (if adding on existing membership, email awigham@tccta.org) – $60/year

Professional Educators Liability Insurance

*Insurance rate: $32.50; State surplus lines tax @ 4.85%: $1.58; State stamping fee @ 0.075%: $0.02; Association administrative fee: $25.90.

(For example, many institutions cover the cost of membership but not liability insurance. Members have the option to add it individually after their institution has paid for their membership.)


The cost of liability insurance is $60. Once payment is received, the membership is updated.
