2017 Community College Day at the Capitol

Join us at the Texas Community College Teachers Association’s 70th Annual Convention statewide celebration of Community College Day!

Texas State Capitol Building
Thursday, February 23, 2017
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

It is a unique opportunity for community college employees to speak to their representatives about the importance of community colleges in their lives and in this state.

A bus will be traveling between the Renaissance Austin Hotel and the Capitol Building continuously between the hours of 9:30am (beginning at the Renaissance) and 3:30pm (last trip back from the capitol).

Soomo Learning will provide complimentary tacos to all Convention attendees from 10:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m..
Pueblo Viejo taco truck will be parked at San Jacinto St., between 12th and 13th St., facing the Capitol.


We are hoping to have as many faculty and administrators as possible come to the capitol to meet with their representatives about educational issues important to them. Please keep in contact with colleagues on your campus to ensure their maximum participation.
