The New Year, 2009, will bring cosmetology legislative changes and TDLR will be joining TCCTA to help keep us abreast of these changes. We will be able to ask questions on such topics as the status of skills application reports, hairdresser license, exam reports and exam changes.

OPI will be providing four, TDLR approved CEUs. Lucia Hale will host two hours in sanitation and two hours in TDLR Law to provide an opportunity to fulfill your license renewal needs.

Biography:
Lucia Hale has been a part of the cosmetology industry for over 15 years, as a licensed nail tech, salon owner, maufacturer representative and educator. She has been an account manager handling key accounts and professional distribution with OPI products for the past four years.

Milady will host the Teaching Methology requirements to provide an opportunity to fulfill your license renewal needs.

By identifying what you want to accomplish, you can then establish a comprehensive action plan to achieve those goals. In this class, you will learn how goal setting and effective goal management allow you to define your long-term vision and identify the applicable short-term tasks required for attaining relevant knowledge and important strategies for organizing your personal resources.

This class will help you “walk away” with a concrete action plan to ensure your career success. Biography:
Ms. Hill is currently employed with US Bank as a branch manager. She is responsible for personally demonstration and ensuring all branch employees provide excellent customer service in accordance with the US Bank Service Advantage Core Values. The primary duty of the Branch Manager is management and administration of the branch to ensure that budget goals are met and to ensure compliance with all banking laws and regulations. Formerly, she was employed by Fantastic Sam’s as the Director of Professional Development in the Louisville Metro and Indiana region. Her responsibilities included staffing for twenty-four salons. In addition, she had developed and maintained professional relationships with twenty cosmetology schools in teh area. Terry has her Degree in Business, and is also committed to giving back to the cosmetology industry. She focused her efforts on teaching people skills to cosmetology students in those twenty schools on a three month rotation during their theory training.
Before Ms. Hill joined Fantastic Sam’s, she owned her own business as a jeweler and fashion consultant for several years. I that role she employed and supervised thirty-five people. She taught leadership seminars with emphasis on successful retailing, communication skills, and business management. Terra feels that as a member of the image industry, she can be instrumental in helping educators and students alike take full advantage of what this great field has to offer.
