Banking Developments and Policy
Speaker: Jeffery W. Gunther
Biography: Jeffery W. Gunther is an Assistant Vice President at the Federal Reserve
Bank of Dallas, where he conducts and directs analysis of financial
institutions and the supervisory framework in which they operate. Dr.
Gunther's work focuses on supervisory policy issues of particular concern
to the Federal Reserve. He has authored numerous related articles for
publication in both academic and Federal Reserve journals, and he is a
primary architect of statistical models used at the Federal Reserve to
identify emergent banking problems. Dr. Gunther received a Ph.D. in
economics from Southern Methodist University in 1995.
