"Separate but Equal?...Comparing College in Free-World and Prison Settings"
Mike Daily of Cedar Valley College will compare Offender Academic Programs with Traditional Campus Programs. Three main areas will be addressed:
1. The physical differences
2. The Culture of the Prison
3. The performance of the inmate.
Biography for Mike Daily: Professor Michael Daily brings 25 years of corporate experience to the classroom. He held positions with two Fortune 500 companies as well as successfully operated his family business. His corrections experience began in 2000 when he agreed to teach a single business course. Since 2001, he has provided leadership at both a Federal and State facility, designing and administering an Applied Arts and Sciences degree program. He was awarded an AAS in Management from Eastfield Community College in 1978, a BS in Business from University of Texas at Dallas in 1981, and a MA in Organizational Management from Dallas Baptist University in 2001. He is currently entering the dissertation phase for a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University.
