Pre-Convention Program Offered

As lead up to the TCCTA annual convention in Austin (Feb 23-25), Pearson is sponsoring a special talk on Feb. 23rd at 1pm at the Renaissance Austin Hotel by Evan Smith, CEO and co-founder of The Texas Tribune a nonprofit, nonpartisan digital news organization.

Here is the general TCCTA convention link.

Mr. Smith will be in conversation with author Clay Robison discussing the role of journalism and current affairs in the social sciences. The speakers will also touch on the broader questions unfolding in higher education, specifically regarding how instructors, students and the broader public can find the signal in the noise in an ever-changing world and why it’s never been more important to do so.
