"Virtual Communications: What is it? Who’s it for? What’s its Future?"
Speaker: Karen Lankisch, Associate Professor of Business Information Technology, University of Cincinnati Clermont
Virtual communications is comprised of a broad array of concepts, technologies and practices that have become essential to our daily lives. In our society today, the definition of “communication” extends far beyond a telephone call or a letter. Communication includes combing different media, interacting in “groups” as well as one-to-one, and using new tools that facilitate these connections. This session will examine how communications have evolved with the development of the Internet and, most importantly, how these technologies will change our communications in the future.

"Write Experience"
Speaker: Erin Joyner, Senior. Acquisitions Editor, Cengage Learning
Would students benefit from extra writing practice? Of course. But do instructors have time to grade more work? Unfortunately, most don’t.
Instructors no longer have to make that compromise. Cengage Learning’s Write Experience! technology is the first in higher education to offer students the opportunity to improve their writing and analytical skills without adding to an instructor’s workload.
